SAE DACH Section
The DACH Section of SAE Europe connects mobility professionals, engineers, researchers and innovators across Germany, Austria and Switzerland.
Through technical MeetUps, networking opportunities and industry exchange, the section provides a platform for discussing the latest developments in automotive software, SDVs, validation technologies and future mobility solutions.
Our events bring together experts from OEMs, suppliers, software companies, research institutions and public organizations to foster collaboration and encourage open technical dialogue within the mobility ecosystem.
On June 18, 2026, an upcoming event titled “Rightsizing the SDV” will take place in Nuremberg / Erlangen, featuring insights from Anton Scheib together with Elektrobit, and Martin Schleicher. The session will explore practical approaches to scaling and optimizing the Software-Defined Vehicle (SDV) landscape for future mobility applications.
Taking place on July 21, 2026, in Stuttgart, the MeetUp “Virtualization of Software-Integration and Test” will examine how virtualization technologies are reshaping automotive software integration and validation, with requested speakers from Vector Informatik and Synopsys Inc.Learn autonomous vehicle architecture, ROS 2 basics, and sense-think-act systems while building skills in robot programming and simulation.

In Q4 2026, in Berlin, a DACH Section event on “Autonomous Drive – or how to maintain Automotive Software throughout the entire lifecycle” will address software maintenance and lifecycle challenges for autonomous vehicles, with requested speakers from BMWE, TÜV Rheinland and other industry experts.
